What DJ software is supported?
Dupes is built exclusively for Serato DJ Pro. It reads your existing database directly, so there's no need to export XML files.
How does Dupes find duplicates?
It groups tracks by comparing up to 10 metadata fields: title, artist, filename, BPM, bitrate, time, size, album, comment, and file type. You control how strict the matching is.
Is my music uploaded anywhere?
Absolutely not. Dupes is a native macOS app that runs entirely locally. Your files and library data are never sent to the cloud.
What happens to removed files?
You have two options: move them to a designated archive folder, or send them straight to the macOS Trash. Dupes then automatically removes the missing track references from your Serato crates.
Can I undo a resolve?
If you send files to the Trash, you can manually restore them before emptying it. However, Dupes updates your Serato database immediately upon resolving, so there is no one-click "undo" within the app itself.
Does Dupes work on Intel Macs?
Yes. Dupes runs natively on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs — any Mac running macOS 12 (Monterey) or later.
Does Dupes support the Apple M5 chip?
Yes. Dupes is a native Apple Silicon app and runs on every Apple Silicon generation — M1 through M5 — with no Rosetta required.
Does Dupes work with Serato libraries on external drives?
Yes. Dupes reads the Serato database wherever it lives — including _Serato_ folders on external or portable drives. Just make sure the drive is connected when you scan.
Can I use Dupes with rekordbox?
Not yet — Dupes is built exclusively for Serato DJ Pro today. rekordbox support is on our radar; tell us at support@cfloinc.com if you want it.
How many Macs can I use Dupes on?
Your license activates on one Mac at a time, and you can move it: deactivate the old machine from your account page and activate the new one whenever you upgrade computers.
