What DJ software is supported?
Dupes is built exclusively for Serato DJ Pro. It reads your existing database directly, so there's no need to export XML files.
How does Dupes find duplicates?
It groups tracks by comparing up to 10 metadata fields: title, artist, filename, BPM, bitrate, time, size, album, comment, and file type. You control how strict the matching is.
Is my music uploaded anywhere?
Absolutely not. Dupes is a native macOS app that runs entirely locally. Your files and library data are never sent to the cloud.
What happens to removed files?
You have two options: move them to a designated archive folder, or send them straight to the macOS Trash. Dupes then automatically removes the missing track references from your Serato crates.
Can I undo a resolve?
If you send files to the Trash, you can manually restore them before emptying it. However, Dupes updates your Serato database immediately upon resolving, so there is no one-click "undo" within the app itself.
